Justice for All

I told Daniel to write me a story. This is what he wrote. I kept the spelling the same because his disslexia's part of the charm of it all.

Once apon a time, a boy named justice entered the world. he came in a time of great strife and chaos. The world needed justice, but justice didn't know how much he needed the world. As he grew up, he realized he was diferent than all the other people around him; Justice had a goal. In a world filled with dreamers, Justice knew what he would have to do to fofill his goal. He knew he must suffer at the hands of injustice forever. When Justice left home, he felt loniliness for the first time. Never before had he been completely alone. He traveled through the mountains, heading south to the golden city his parents had told him about as a child.
After a long and straining journey through the treacherous passes, Justice reached the city. His first glimps revealed a great golden expanse, stretching as far as the eye could see. The interior of the city proved to be less marvolous however, and Justice quickly found that people in the city care for nothing, even themselves. Justice continued his search for true gold, bouncing from job to job straining to reach a higher working class. In the city, money is the only way to climb to the top, and Justice was aiming for the stars.
One day, Justice met a man dressed in the most expensive suit he had ever seen. the tie alone was surely worth more than all of Justice's bellongings. The man had the emporers seal on his breast pocket, causing Justice to gasp and leap at the man's feet. the man urged him to move along, but Justice bugged to be alowed in the palace. after Justice refused to move, the rich man steped over him and went about his way.
The next morning, the same man was walking the same street when he saw Justice laying in street, in the same prone postuer as before. The rich man started to pass by, but decided to check on the poor man at his feet. Justice said in a feeble voice: "I said I would not move, so I will remain" "my name is Chase" said the rich man."what is it you want in the Palace?"
"I only wish to speak to the emperor for a moment." said Justice. Chase said it could not be done, and left. the next day, he found Justice in the same place, face down in the street. Every day, Justice would ask to see the emperor, and every day Chase would leave with a refusal on his lips.
On the seventh day, Chase came with a bowl of water. Justice refused, saying we would wait for the emperor till death. The next day, Chase came with a letter in his hand, which declared that anyone who could bring the emperors lost ring back from the mountains would have the honer of giving it back in person.without taking a drink or bite, Justice got up and ran to his hut, gathered his climbimg gear, and ran for the mountains. he jumped on a south-bound train that he knew would take him close to the verry pass he had crossed. He leapt out and ran the path he had used. He forced his weak legs up the mountain side, knowing exactly where to look. As sun set and cold decended, he came to a crevace that led to a funnel. at the bottom of this funnel was a ring. Justice had seen it gleam on his way through the mountains, but dared not climb down. what once was suicide was now his only hope. weak and despairing, he slid down the ice and took up the ring. he put his salvation on his finger, kissed it, and raised it in a salute to Heaven.Justice had conquered a mountain, poverty, and discrimination to reach his goal. But he could go no further. the steep sides of the funel were too steek to climb, and his strength was failing. Justice sighed one last breath before sinking back to the cold ice.
Justice thought death would be colder, and without the sweet taste. He found he could open his eyes, but instead of the afterlife, Justice looked into a jar of honey. it lowered to reveal Chase, who was knealing at his side. he turned and motioned for Justice to look to his right. Justice turned to see the funishings of a beautiful room, then as his eyes drifted further, he saw the emporer.he held out his hand to deliver the ring. it was taken with gratitude. "you have done well." said Chase. as the cot Justice was laying on was lifted, Justice reached into his pocket for an item he had caried on him since his birth. It was the knife that had slain his leaders so many generation ago. it was said that as long that the children of the slain hold the weapon, they hold a grudge. As Justice handed the knife over, a bloody war that had claimed fathers and sons alike came to an end. The End.
